F.A.Q.
What do I need to play?
You will need an Airsoft gun and appropriate eye protection. If you are under 18 we insist that you wear full-face protection, if you are over 18 then you may wear eye-protection only at your own risk.
The gun must not be capable of firing at a power level greater than 328fps+10% with a .2g round. This gives an absolute maximum power of 360fps – Although we do prefer that any rifle capable of automatic fire has an FPS rating of below 350. ( A chronograph will be available on-site for spot-checks. )
What should I wear to play?
Obviously, camouflage clothing is best so that you may be concealed when playing, but it isn’t by any means essential – a dark track suit is fine.
We highly recommend that you wear a good pair of boots, as while trainers might be comfortable in the short term you will be on your feet for a long time and they will not provide you with any ankle support or protection if you trip.
Be aware also that it can get wet and very cold in the winter months, so wrap up well! If you have travelled any distance to the site, it may be wise to bring a change of shoes and socks to travel home in.
How safe are Section 8 Airsoft games?
Up to a point, that’s down to you. There are a number of safety rules which are announced to all players at the start of the day – we expect these to be adhered to and if they are then the worst anyone can expect is maybe a small splinter or the odd argument with some stinging nettles.
Do not climb trees or make any moves which may compromise the safety of yourself or others. Remember, it’s a game, not a matter of life-and-death.
Our marshals will be available throughout the day to answer any questions and to take appropriate action should any rules be broken.
What supplies are available on site?
We always hold stock of BBs and pyrotechnics onsite, and can bring gun-gas and other items upon request.
